Well, today was the annual airshow held in my small city of Abbotsford, BC, Canada. It's actually considered one of the best airshows in all of North America. We usually get quite a few big performers from the US Military/Navy/etc., as well as some smaller civilian performers. Also, we get quite a few static displays. This year was somewhat lacking in terms of performances and static displays compared to previous years, but it was still pretty sweet. Enjoy the pics!

A whackload of pics...
Alright, I have a bunch of pics from August 7th up until today, the 11th. The fireworks ones were from August 7th, when a bunch of us went to go view the grande finale for the "Celebration of Light" fireworks in Vancouver, BC. Those were pretty sweet. The rest of the pictures are from a small camping trip I went with on my family from Sunday the 8th until today, the 11th (a lot of the pics from camping were of beautiful sunsets by the ocean). We were at Deception Pass State Park in northwest Washington. Enjoy!

Well, today was a day out with my family. We went into Vancouver, more specifically the west end/north shore to a place called Lighthouse Park. It was pretty cool, some beautiful scenery.

HSBC Celebration of Light
Well tonight I went up to Burnaby Mountain near Vancouver to watch the HSBC Celebration of Light (formerly known as Symphony of Fire) - a huge fireworks display put on every summer. Usually 3 or 4 different countries do a performance twice a week. This year we have China, Sweden, and Spain doing the shows, and on August 7th, it will be the grand finale with all three putting on the show. Unfortunately, I didn't have a tripod, so my nightime shots of the cityscape of Vancouver turned out super blurry, but I did get some good scenic pics as well as a few sunset ones. I'll have to bring a tripod next time (and next time we'll be right on the beach, in front of the barge - WAY closer to the actual fireworks).

Wedding day
Well, I actually didn't have my camera for the actual wedding because my STUPID battery (AND backup battery) were "depleted" when I went to turn on my camera. So I charged it up for the evening and took some pics of people. It was fun, bunch of people I haven't seen for a while, and AJ was back from Haiti (was there for a year), so that was awesome. Those pics of the planes (and dude) were taken at some tiny little airshow in Bellingham, WA - nothing in comparrison to the Abbotsford International Airshow though.

2nd Annual nightwalk
These pics were taken from a nightwalk my friends and I did. It's our 2nd annual nightwalk, although it might end up being a bi-weekly or montly occurance. We walked from one end of the city of Abbotsford (130,000 people) to the other - took us about 3hrs. Along the way, we found and did some pretty random things. Good times...

The concert was actually Friday night, I'm just a putting up these pics the next day. I must say, Blindside was simply AMAZING live - they sounded SO good. P.O.D. put on a pretty sweet show too - they played a bunch of their older stuff, which was wicked. Not only did I get to "meet & greet" the bands before the show (which was somewhat rushed unfortunately - had barely enough time to get your stuff signed, and say a quick word to the band members), but after the entire concert, my brother and I hung around where they were selling shirts at the back of the venue, and all of a sudden I see the members of Blindsdie just chilling there!! It was so awesome, I talked with the bassist Tomas for like 5-10 minutes, also chatted with the drummer Marcus, and talked with Christian, the lead singer for a little bit - which was cut off by the way because of the stupid security guys, they kicked me out and cut off our conversation!! I was literally the last one in the venue. An awesome concert experience indeed. I'll never forget it.
